Lygiagrečiai Open turnyrui šiemet vyks GM Panevežys 2016  šachmatų turnyras su didmeistrio norma. Kitas ratų sistemos  šachmatų turnyras IM Panevėžys 2016 su tarptautinio meistro norma.
O visus kitus šachmatinikus kviečiame į mėgėjiškus  OPEN B  < 2200 ar OPEN C < 1600 turnyrus, kurie vyks tik nuo ketvirtadienio 09 birželio iki sekmadienio 12 birželio, o jėgas išbandyti gali visi norintieji - nuo pačių mažųjų jaunų šachmatininkų iki jau solidaus amžiaus senjorų. Аbu turnyrai bus registruojami FIDE reitingų apskaičiavimui su klasikine kontrole, tad sėkmingai sužaidę galite gauti ELO reitingą arba pradinį įvertinimą.

Rules and regulation: The tournament will be played according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds. Pairing made with swissmanager program.The rate of play will be according  FIDE Laws of Chess. The playing time will be 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 min. to end game with 30 seconds increment for each move starting from first move. Tournament  is registered FIDE and ELO rating change will be rated.

Prizes: Prize fund – 2000 Euro

1 prize – 500  EURO and the Cup ; II prize – 350  EURO ; III prize – 250 EURO ; IV prize – 150 EURO ; V prize  – 120 EURO ; VI prize – 100 EURO ; VII prize -   80 EURO ; VIII prize -  50 EURO.
Special prizes in categories:  Best  woman – 100 EURO ; Best  junior  (18 year , born in 1998 or younger ) – 100 EURO

There are no double prizes. Only the major prize will be given. The minor prize will be given to the player of the same category placed next. The prize will be awarded if in category group will be no less than 5 participants.
